Students were introduced to PBL (Project Based Learning) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) wherein the topic 'Eco-friendly house' was assigned to each student.
In science, students found alternatives to generate electricity such as solar panels and wind turbines, different types of materials required to construct the house . Technology and Engineering was also incorporated in lessons were students designed their eco-friendly house and later they also incorporated Art into lesson by painting and decorating their eco-friendly house . Students also applied their skills in Mathematics calculating/ finding the area and perimeter of their eco-friendly house. Lastly, in English they learnt and designed brochure using ICT skills to sell the eco-friendly house they built including AFOREST (persuasive) techniques learnt earlier.
